On Monday 9th November, Year 11 and 12 students attended a series of creative lectures at the IOE's Creative Day. Students heard talks from artist Corneila Parker, photographer Simon Roberts, prosthetics artist Mark Coulier and portrait artist Stuart Pearson Wright. Having worked on developing Voldermort for the Harry Potter films and winning an Oscar for his work on 'The Iron Lady', Coulier's work was particularly fascinating. Pearson Wright was the favourite speaker of the day. He has painted a number of famous faces including Keara Knightly and JK Rowling. His humorous and slightly obscure anecdotes left students wondering what would come next!

The talks were overall very enjoyable and offered a valuable insight into the creative industries.
