Frieze Art Fair

On Friday 16th October the Art Department set out for our annual pilgrimage to the Frieze Art Fair in Regents Park. Students found the fair better and more accessible than last year, yet there was still the inevitable slightly pretentious atmosphere that comes with such a prestigious event.

Tracey Emin’s ‘My Favourite Little Bird’ and the giant inflatable Felix the Cat, displayed by Bucholz Gallery were favorites. Tomas Saraceno also inspired students with his suspended geometric forms. It was interesting for both staff and students to see such a vast range of media being used and applied by artists from all over the world.
